After graduation I spent 3 years in the Army. Most of this time was spent in Korea as an airplane mechanic during the missle crisis. Later I was stationed at FT. Carson, CO where I trained the troops in night firing. I was mustered out on April 1,1962 and married Catherine Mitchum in Colorado Springs on April 2.

I worked in the John Deere office in Bloomington, MN and we lived in St. Paul.

Later,  we moved to Colorado to farm and ranch until my retirement. My wife passed away 12 years ago of kidney failure. We did some traveling in the states from Florida,Texas, California to Washington with a few trips back to MN to visit friends.

Since retirement I have been helping out neighbors with different ranching chores such as repairing fences, windbreaks and driving tractor etc.

We adopted two children as babies, one girl and one boy. Anna our daughter presented me with twin grandchildren, one girl and one boy, in March of this year. My son Andy is still playing around in Florida while Anna lives in California and works for Farmers Insurance.
