After graduation I worked as a nurse's aide at Midway Hospital, went to Lutheran Bible Institute and then to Robinson's Beauty School. I worked at 2 Beauty Shops in St. Paul and later had a shop in our home in Roseville.

I married Harold Shoberg from Chisago City on 4-09-1961. We have 5 children, Mark, Jay, Connie, Karl and Cary, and 13 grandchildren. We adopted Jay in 1968 when he was 5 years old and Connie in 1969 when she was 5 years old. They are both from Korea. We were very involved with a Korean Adoption support group. We had 8 different people spend time in our home. Four of those were Korean.

Since moving back to Lindstrom in 1989 (very close to my home place) we have been able to host at least 14 people from Sweden.

Antco Construction was a big part of our lives. Harold was the CEO.
