After graduation I moved to Minneapolis and started working for an eyeglass company called House of Vision. After working there for about nine months I obtained a clerical job at Land O'Lakes where I stayed until the summer of 1961. I went back to work in the mid-seventies part-time with the Minneapolis School Board until my husband and I started our silk screen businesses in 1980 until retirement in 2003.

We have lived in Northeast Minneapolis since 1960 and our present home for 39 years with no plans at present of moving or going south for winters. We keep very busy with our grandchildren, especially our 13 year old grandson who plays basketball, baseball & football.

I have done some traveling over the years. My daughter lived in Germany for a year so that was an excellent opportunity to go there. My favorite place is Ireland and have traveled there four times. After retirement my husband and I traveled by car to the Northwest, Southwest and Southeast United States enjoying the fact of not having to rush back to work.

Retirement is great!!
