After graduation I married John in November 1958.

We lived in Lindstrom for 3 years and then moved to Blaine where we purchased our first home.

Four and a half years later we decided the country was a good place to raise 3 sons, so we moved back to the Lindstrom area. We purchased a 2½-acre farm near Almelund and lived there for 9½ years.

John was employed at Princeton and the price of gas went up to $ .50 a gallon. To help defray the gas expense, we sold the farm, moving to Grandy, closer to John’s work. (Boy, is that ever a joke.!!!!)

I worked at Cambridge Medical Center starting out as a Nurses aid. I wore many different hats during the 25 years of employment

As the family was growing up we enjoyed camping and snowmobiling.

Over the years we have traveled parts of the East and West Coast, a trip to Alaska, Hawaii twice, and an Eastern Caribbean Cruise.

In 1996 we started building a house on our property on Round Lake, 20 miles north of Aitkin, where we retired in 2001.

We have been blessed with 5 grand children and 1 great granddaughter.

I am kept busy with Women’s Missionary Circle, Homemakers Club and Hospital Auxiliary.

My hobbies are maintaining a small vegetable garden, a yard full of flowers, and in the wintertime I enjoy ice skating and x-country skiing. Also in my spare time, I enjoy reading.

We are members of Country Road Classic Car Club, Up North Golden Age Club, and the Minnesota Street Rod Association.

We both enjoy outdoor activities such as boating, ATV riding, ride the wave runner and snowmobiling.

I am looking forward seeing everybody at the reunion.
